Uncertainty about the governor’s new school-funding plan remains high among Ohio senators, even after the state budget director spent two hours answering questions from lawmakers trying to determine the logic and sustainability of the proposal.
Some GOP senators and school superintendents are scratching their heads over how some schools could be in line for thousands, if not millions, of dollars in additional federal stimulus money — only to end up with no overall funding increase under Gov. Ted Strickland’s funding plan.
