The battle for control of the Alabama state senate starts today. From TuscaloosaNews:
A special election cycle to fill the Alabama Senate District 22 seat held by Democrat Pat Lindsey, who died in January, begins in eight counties of southwest Alabama.
Republicans Greg Albritton of Range, Judy Belk of Citronelle and Danny Joyner of Brewton are on Tuesday’s ballot. The district includes nearly 88,000 voters in all or parts of Mobile, Baldwin, Escambia, Conecuh, Monroe, Clark, Choctaw and Washington counties.
