So far this session, there have been 946 bills, 15 resolutions, 50 concurrent resolutions and 32 joint resolutions introduced in both houses of the Nevada Legislature. Last week, 268 pieces of legislation died because they never got out of the committee where they were first introduced.

* Your health. Currently, if you become a victim of medical malpractice — think the hepatitis C crisis in which doctors trying to save money allegedly re-used syringes and single-dose vials of medicine on patients, exposing them to deadly diseases — you’re limited in court. You can sue for lost future earnings, but if you claim “pain and suffering,” you can only get $350,000, tops.
