From TheItem.com:
State Attorney General Henry McMaster said Tuesday he plans to run for governor in 2010. Although he has yet to make a formal declaration about his intentions, he said he hopes to do so soon.
“I plan to run for governor, yes,” he said, after a meeting of the Sumter Rotary Club. “And I hope to make an announcement about this very soon.”
McMaster spoke to the Rotarians about his accomplishments as attorney general. He focused on ways that his office has helped alleviate crime around the state.

General McMaster has been the best AG in the nation the past 7 years. From dead beat dads, child abusers, Internet predators, animal abusers, innovative ideas on the courts and prisons and making his office efficient yet more responsive to citizens, he is the leading candidate for Governor and is far and away the man for South Carolina in 2010. I know him to be a man of great character who also has had experience as US Attorney and Chairman of the South Carolina Republican Party, when the party went from the minority to the great power that it is today in this state. He is a man of exceptional energy, enthusiam and encouragement to others. My prayer is for him to run and win.
