From PalmBeachPost:
With Attorney General Bill McCollum expected to make it official Monday that he’s running for governor, Democrats may not be able to avoid a three-candidate collision in the 2010 AG’s race.
State Sens. Dave Aronberg of Greenacres and Dan Gelber of Miami Beach and former state Sen. Rod Smith of Alachua have all been eyeing campaigns to replace Republican McCollum. They’ve been talking to each other, professing friendship and respect for one another and saying they hope to avoid a candidate-scarring, money-draining primary. Whether they can succeed remains to be seen.
