AZ: Democrat AG Getting Primary Opponent in Governor Race?

Yes, Democrat A.G. Terry Goddard is on his way out, and now Arizona Republicans will find the perfect candidate to bring the Arizona A.G.’s office over to the GOP column.  Both parties are floating lots of names, who will it be?  From Phoenix Business Journal:

The developer likely would face Arizona Attorney General Terry Goddard in the primary. Goddard has reached his term limit for the AG job. Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon’s name also has popped as a candidate.

Pederson lost a Senate bid to Jon Kyl, R-Ariz., in 2006.

The Republican 2010 gubernatorial field could include incumbent Jan Brewer, U.S. Rep. Jeff Flake and Maricopa County Attorney Andrew Thomas.

Pederson was in Las Vegas Monday for a conference and did not respond to requests for comment.
