John Tyson Jr. will seek re-election as Mobile County district attorney rather than making another run for attorney general, he said Monday.
“I have work that I need to finish here in Mobile, and I think it’s in the best interest of my family,” Tyson said.
Several other Democrats have expressed interest in running for attorney general in 2010, but none have declared.
Meanwhile, the Republican race has two candidates: incumbent Troy King and Luther Strange, who ran for lieutenant governor in 2006.
