From Fosters.com:
After five years of serving as New Hampshire’s top cop, the Executive Council accepted Attorney General Kelly Ayotte’s resignation Wednesday.
Gov. John Lynch and the council then accepted the nomination of Attorney Michael Delaney, who serves as Lynch’s general legal counsel, as the next Attorney General.
Colin Manning, the governor’s spokesman, said Delaney is expected to be confirmed at the next Executive Council meeting scheduled on Aug. 19 in Manchester.
Ayotte’s resignation becomes effective on Friday.
