From IndyStar.com:
Indiana’s newest state senator will be selected tonight, as Republican Party insiders decide on a successor to former state Sen. Teresa Lubbers.
Lubbers resigned her District 30 seat earlier this summer to take a new job as the state’s commissioner of higher education.
The district covers parts of northern Marion and southern Hamilton counties. Precinct committee leaders — 79 from Marion and 28 from Hamilton — will hold a caucus at 7 p.m. today to elect a replacement.
