South Dakota Attorney General Larry Long will resign from his position to accept an appointment from Governor Mike Rounds to be a circuit judge. Rounds appointed three people to be circuit judges in the state Thursday.
Long and Robin Jacobson Houwman, an assistant U.S. Attorney in Sioux Falls, were appointed to judgeships in the Second Judicial Circuit, including Minnehaha and Lincoln counties.
