From projo.com:
In a complaint filed Wednesday morning with the Board of Elections, the state GOP accuses Democratic Attorney General Patrick C. Lynch of blatantly and repeatedly violating the state’s campaign-finance law by lumping thousands of dollars of unexplained travel expenses under the heading: “petty cash.”
“All told, within one year, the Lynch Committee spent approximately $9,110.27 from its campaign account and simply labeled the expenditures as petty cash, including a ‘trip to Kentucky,’ ” the complaint says, “along with numerous expenditures on meals, hotels and taxis.”
It seeks $3,100 in fines for 31 alleged violations of state campaign-finance law and regulations.
