TRENTON When the Legislature reconvenes in November, Senate Minority Leader Leonard Lance is hoping to spur a debate on the potential conflicts that result when legislators hold public jobs.
“I think you should have to choose a public position,” said Lance, R-Warren/Hunterdon.
Lance is crafting a bill that would prohibit legislators from holding a paid public job, excluding positions in education, beginning Jan. 8.
