From ArgusLeader.com:
Gov. Mike Rounds said today that he has appointed Marty Jackley of Sioux Falls as the state’s new attorney general.
The appointment is effective at noon on Sept. 4, coinciding with the resignation of Attorney General Larry Long. Rounds appointed Long a judge in the Second Judicial District, which includes Minnehaha and Lincoln Counties. He will take the oath of office for that job on Sept. 4.
