The Legislative Ethics Commission is investigating state Senate Democratic Leader Ed Worley’s deal to build a state courthouse annex.
The Lexington Herald-Leader reports state legislators and their spouses are prohibited from leasing real estate to state agencies. But the Richmond legislator will be leasing the building to Madison County and the county will, in turn, lease it to the state Administrative Office of the Courts.
Worley plans to rent the building for $409,356 a year.
