“What is Twitter?” Lt. Gov. Richard Ravitch asked a reporter on Tuesday, clearly befuddled by an invitation he had just received asking him to join the popular Web messaging network.
“Somebody sent me three messages saying, ‘Please come on Twitter.’ I don’t know what the hell …” he grumbled, his voice trailing off.
Mr. Ravitch, who was given the green light to take his seat as lieutenant governor on Tuesday after a nearly three-month legal battle, is suddenly back in demand.
