From StlToday.com:
The local Democratic Party, already reeling from the guilty pleas of two state lawmakers, apparently will take another hit today.
State Rep. Talibdin “T.D.” El-Amin is scheduled to appear in federal court at noon, where he is expected to waive his right to indictment by a grand jury to an as-yet-unspecified criminal charge.
El-Amin, a Democrat whose district covers a swath of northwest St. Louis, is to appear before U.S. District Court Judge Henry Edward Autrey, according to a docket sheet posted Wednesday afternoon.
