From Dayton Daily News:
Democrat Marilyn Brown has withdrawn from the race to become Ohio’s next elections chief.
In a statement Thursday, Brown says her travels around the state campaigning for secretary of state persuaded herthat local issues are where her heart is. She will remain on as a Franklin County commissioner.
Brown’s departure leaves just one Democrat in the 2010 race: State Rep. Jennifer Garrison of Marietta. State Sen. Jon Husted is pursuing the seat on the Republican side.
