The men who want to be Virginia’s next attorney general tangled over issues including the economy, the importance of prosecutorial experience and a recent General Assembly special session in a lively debate Wednesday night.
Democrat Steve Shannon and Republican Ken Cuccinelli have a lot in common, as Virginia Lawyers Weekly pointed out in June.
They’re both Catholic, they both have University of Virginia connections and they’re both from Fairfax County: Shannon’s House of Delegates district even somewhat overlaps Cuccinelli’s state senate district.
