From the Kokomo Tribune:
Lt. Gov. Becky Skillman is urging Indiana residents to write letters and send cards to troops during the upcoming holiday season.
Skillman says the mail campaign called “Hoosier Cheer For Our Heroes” is a chance for people to send their thoughts, prayers and thanks to Indiana servicemen and women who will be spending the holidays away from their homes and families. Skillman’s office received about 20,000 cards for troops last year, and officials hope to top that this year.
