From WMTW.com:
Maine Attorney General Janet Mills said Maine’s gay marriage law will have no impact on curricula in the public schools.
Mills issued an opinion Thursday in response to a query by Education Commissioner Susan Gendron. The question comes up as voters decide whether to repeal Maine’s newly enacted same-sex marriage law Nov. 3 or let it stand. In her response to Gendron, Mills said the law applies to issues such as inheritance, rights to tort claim damages, medical information and guardianship. Mills said she found no references in Maine’s laws to the teaching of marriage in the public school curricula.
