Attorney General Troy King on Tuesday said an Alabama Supreme Court opinion on bingo provides a provides a “clearer” test for what the game is, but he anticipated continued litigation on if the game can be played on electronic machine.
“We have a clearer test. We do not have a clear test,” King said.
King said the Supreme Court specifically did not address whether bingo could be played on machines. Ultimately, King, who said he is opposed to legalized gambling, said he believes the issue should go to a statewide vote
