From the Bismarck Tribune:
North Dakota Gov. John Hoeven, who has been under pressure for months to challenge Democratic Sen. Byron Dorgan’s re-election bid next year, is getting a fresh nudge from a South Dakota lawmaker on Facebook.
State Rep. Dan Lederman of Dakota Dunes, S.D., has helped start a page on the social networking Web site to promote Hoeven’s candidacy – even though Lederman said Wednesday he has never met Hoeven and knows little about him.
“I’ve seen some stuff about him online,” said Lederman, who like Hoeven is a Republican. “Most of what I know is what I’ve heard from other legislators in North Dakota and other people from North Dakota.”
