From New Haven Register:
As expected, Democratic Secretary of the State Susan Bysiewicz Wednesday announced she is running for attorney general, but she failed to pledge to serve a full term if elected.
One of the biggest supporters of the state’s new public financing system, Bysiewicz also said the program is “in great jeopardy,” and she was going to depend on private fundraising to run her new campaign.
She now can transfer to a candidate committee for attorney general the $467,367 she has raised as part of an exploratory committee for governor, and take contributions of up to $2,000 from individuals, as opposed to the $375 previous limit.
