From Courant.com:
Longtime Secretary of the State Susan Bysiewicz was the Democratic front-runner when she left the governor’s race to pursue the suddenly open seat of attorney general earlier this month.
From the moment she switched, she became a front-runner again. A Quinnipiac University poll released Thursday showed that she had a huge lead in a potential Democratic primary for the post.
Douglas Schwartz, director of the Quinnipiac poll, said Bysiewicz had reason “to feel good about her poll numbers.” He acknowledged that the poll was still being taken when the controversy broke over whether Bysiewicz has been in “active practice” as an attorney in Connecticut for 10 years. “She’s been getting whacked on a few things here, and her numbers remain high,” he said.
