From The Day:
John Pavia, a Republican from Easton and a former prosecutor, filed paperwork Tuesday to explore a run for attorney general in Connecticut.
Pavia told The Associated Press he is “seriously” considering a run and will make a decision in the coming weeks. He is the first Republican so far to announce the formation of an exploratory committee for attorney general.
“It has always interested me,” said Pavia, finance chairman for the Republican State Central Committee, a legal analyst and an attorney for the past 20 years. “I don’t think there’s a bigger honor than to be hired to represent the constituents of an entire state.”
