From The Columbus Dispatch:
Franklin County Clerk of Courts Maryellen O’Shaughnessy made it (sort of) official today, jumping into the Ohio secretary of state’s race.
O’Shaughnessy, who has a mixed campaign record, winning city council and county clerk seats, but losing bids for county commissioner and U.S. representative, said she was honored by the support from fellow Democrats, particularly Gov. Ted Strickland and party Chairman Chris Redfern.
State Rep. Jennifer Garrison, a Marietta Democrat, had been running for secretary of state since August, but she officially dropped out of the race on Saturday after Strickland decided to back O’Shaughnessy.
