From AZCapitolTimes.com:
The Republican precinct committee from District 6 has nominated their district chairman, a party activist and a veteran committeeman to fill the Senate seat left vacant when Pamela Gorman resigned last week.
GOP Legislative District 6 Chairman David Braswell, activist Lori Klein and veteran committeeman Bob Haran were picked as the possible replacements during a two-hour meeting on Feb. 1.
The next step is for the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors to appoint a new senator from among the three nominees. But they might only have to decide between Braswell and Klein, because Haran on Feb. 2 announced that he would support Braswell.
