From CTPost.com:
Lt. Gov. Michael Fedele vowed Wednesday to make “the hard decisions” if he’s elected governor this fall and impose four-year hiring and spending freezes to cover Connecticut’s budget deficits and make government more affordable.
Fedele unveiled a multi-pronged, detailed proposal that calls for restructuring state employee pensions, salaries, health care benefits and work schedules; merging state agencies; restricting state borrowing to only essential programs for two years; and limiting state funding of local school construction projects.
