From GrandForksHerald.com:
Delegates at the state Republican convention endorsed North Dakota Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem to run for re-election Saturday.
Stenehjem, a former Grand Forks attorney and state legislator, was not challenged for the endorsement.
During his acceptance speech at Grand Forks’ Alerus Center, Stenehjem touted his work against sex offenders, namely his office’s advocacy of sting operations to catch predators and maintenance of an online offender registry.
“We have millions of hits on our Web site telling me that moms and dads across our state are using it to keep their children safe,” he said. “We can continue to boast that we have the safest state in the Union.”
