Attorney General Jim Hood’s campaign on Tuesday disputed a television ad that claimed he’s given lucrative contracts to New York firms that have contributed to his re-election bid, and accused the organization that paid for the ad of hypocrisy.Jonathan Compretta, a spokesman for the Democrat Hood campaign, said the ad by Mississippians for Economic Progress is false. Hood faces Republican Al Hopkins, who has made similar accusations against the attorney general, in the Nov. 6 general election.
