Terry Goddard, Arizona’s Democratic attorney general, will be Republican Gov. Jan Brewer’s likely opponent in the November mid-term elections. He also happens to be the guy who is charged with defending Arizona’s state laws. Goddard isn’t too keen on defending Arizona’s sparkly new immigration regulations.
So Brewer suspended him from performing any work related to the law. That’s right — she just ordered him to stop. Here’s her statement:
