You know it looks like Dick Blumenthal really missed the boat on this one. He could’ve upped the ante a bit and added terrorism to the list of other activities that could spawn from dog fighting. What’s more, he could’ve taken a play from California’s Democrat L.G. John Garamendi and just blamed President Bush. Next time maybe he’ll get it right. Just the same, it appears that there’s a hotline for everything:
State officials set up a tipline to combat illegal animal fighting leagues.
State Attorney General Richard Blumenthal announced the hotline at a press conference in Hartford today.
“Animal fighting is the spectator sport of criminals — a despicable, indecent practice that attracts an array of other criminal activity, including drug dealing and illegal betting,” Blumenthal said.
