Lt. Gov. Dennis Daugaard (DOO’-gahrd) has chosen Yankton lawyer Matt Michels (MY’-kuhls) as his running mate in his campaign for South Dakota governor.
Michels is a former state House speaker. Daugaard, the Republican nominee for governor, also describes Michels as an authority on health care law.
Michels says he shares Daugaard’s values of hard work, personal responsibility and limited government.
