$800k is a lot of scratch for a Delegate race in the Commonwealth.
The race between Delegate Danny Marshall and his Democratic challenger Adam Tomer is the most expensive legislative contest in Danville’s history. The two candidates for the 14th District seat in the House of Delegates have raised more than $800,000 as of Tuesday afternoon, according to the Virginia State Board of Elections.
Robert Denton, the head of the Leadership Institute at Virginia Tech, said the price tag will increase as Election Day
approaches.
