Control of the Louisiana House of Representatives, and the next attorney general hang in the balance…and early voting starts Saturday. Boy they vote a lot down on the bayou.
People wishing to vote early should have a Louisiana driver’s license in order to make the process smoother for the voter, Moreau said.
The turnout for the early voting will be a held predict the turnout for the actual election Nov. 17, Moreau said.”Right now, it’s too early to do a prediction,” Moreau said. “The next seven days, we’ll get a better feel for the elections.”Interest in local races has waned, with several offices decided Oct. 20, and Moreau said.
The runoff will have light (about 30%) turnout. I don’t think we’ll take the AG office, but we have a 50-50 chance of taking the House. And will likely end up with 15-16 Senate seats (out of 39). And word on the street is there may be some party switchers after the balloting.
