WASHINGTON — Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal recently urged a congressional panel to oppose granting retroactive immunity to telecommunications companies that may have violated customer privacy in the name of national security.”This immunity proposal is overbroad and overreaching — concealing possible illegal activity and undermining state authority,” Blumenthal wrote the Senate Judiciary Committee.
