Log Books? Flight Plans?

Must mean Vermont Republican Lieutenant Governor Brian Dubie, a pilot for American Airlines, has formally kicked off his bid for a third consecutive term yesterday.

According to today’s Montpelier Times Argus:

“Our logbooks allow us to keep track of our activities and accomplishments,” Dubie said. “I am running for re-election, and I am excited to share my flight plan with you at this time.”

His accomplishments, he said, included bi-partisan fairness in presiding over the state Senate, working on homeland security issues, promoting healthy aging and encouraging investment in environmentally sound businesses.

The flight plan for the next two years promises a focus on ways to boost Vermonters' pay, improve education and health care and plan for future energy needs, he said.

“Vermonters have had an opportunity to see my work,” Dubie said. “I have chosen collaboration over confrontation. I have chosen to build relationships, not headlines. I promise to continue the work I have started.”

Lt. Governor Dubie faces Progressive candidate Dr. Marvin Malek and the winner of the September 12th Democrat primary between state senator Matt Dunne or Representative John Tracy.
