These “ballot cheat sheets” state that the law allows voters to take them into voting booths, and recommends voting for the “Entire Progressive Democrat Ticket.”Very few people, it seems, followed that advice. The runoff elections this past Saturday completed a truly dismal showing by those candidates endorsed by the Progressive Democrats. Eight of the eleven lost, most in the primary election, without even forcing a runoff. One of the three winners–popular Lieutenant Governor Mitch Landrieu–would certainly have won anyway, without the efforts of the Progressive Democrats on his behalf.
