The N.C. Attorney General’s office sees many fraud schemes hatched during the holiday season, according to N.C. Attorney General Roy Cooper.
“We step up warnings to people during the holidays because there are so many transactions,” Cooper said Thursday.
The majority of those who fall prey are through phone and e-mail cons, he said.
